This site was created by Merriam-Webster to provide a student dictionary, word games, and a Daily Buzzword to help students increase their vocabulary.  Dictionary entries include a pronounciation key.   When a word is misspelled, the dictionary will provide several possible choices.

  • Publish Your At-Risk Students' Writing:
    We highly recommend that you visit the website of TeenInk, a magazine written for teens, by teens.   Wonderful for publishing students' writing.  TeenInk publishes a book series of student essays.  The publication sponsors many exciting essay contests for students. 
    Published by the Young Authors Foundation, this newspaper reaches 250,000 students in 3,000 middle and high schools in the U.S. Issues of this paper have included nonfiction, teen issues, fiction, poetry, reviews of books, movies, music, college essays, technology , letters to the editor, essays on community service. Art and photography are also published by the newspaper.
